Abstract:
Ten triterpenes were isolated from
Garcinia hanburyi Hook. f. by silica gel, reversed-phase silica gel column chromatography and semi-preparative high performance liquid chromatography. They were identified as betulinic acid(
1 ),
α-amyrin(
2 ), lupeol(
3 ),
β-amyrin(
4 ), alphitolic acid(
5 ), taraxasterol(
6 ), bauerenol(
7 ), butyrospermol(
8 ), 3-
O-α-L-arabinopyranosyl oleanolic acid(
9 )and maslinic acid(
10 ). Compounds
3 and
4 were isolated from this plant for the first time, and compounds
5-10 were isolated from this genus for the first time.
