Abstract:
The adsorption of salbutamol sulfate on cation-exchange resin was studied by the dynamic method. The characteristics of drug-resinate were determined by means of differential scanning calorimetry, IR-spectrum analysis, and X-ray powder diffraction. The adsorption properties for salbutamol were also discussed. The results suggested that the maximum adsorptive capacity of salbutamol was in the solution with pH=2.01. At the varied pH values, the adsorptive capacity increased with the increasing of the drug concentration. The counterion in the drug solution had a significant influence on the adsorptive capacity , which was decreased with the increasing of saltions concentration.
