Abstract:
Aim :To prepare phenylalanine molecularly imprinted polymers(Phe-MIPs) on a porous silica-gel support in aqueous phase and study on its chromatography.
Methods :By copolymerizing acryloyl β-cyclodextrin,with 2-acrylamido-2-methyl-1-propane-sulfonic acid (AMPSA) as the functional monomer, and
N,N′-methylene bisacrylamide (MBAA) as the cross-linker on the vinylated silica-gel in aqueous phase of phenylalanine,a thin layer of molecularly imprinted β-cyclodextrin(β-CD) polymer was immobilized on silica-gel via thermal polymerization. The prepared Phe-MIPs were packed into an empty stainless steel column.HPLC-UV was performed on this column with a mobile phase of MeCN-H
2O-HCOOH(10∶90∶0.1) at a flow rate of 0.1 mL/min and a detection wavelength of 200 nm.The Phe-MIPs column were compared with the blank column.
Results :Phenylalanine had stronger retention on Phe-MIPs column than the blank imprinted polymers column, and was well separated with lysine and proline.
Conclusion :The MIPs prepared in aqueous medium have a strong adsorption selectivity.
