HPLC-MSⁿanalysis of saponins in Rhizoma Anemarrhenae

Aim ：To investigate the steroidal saponins of Rhizoma Anemarrhenae through HPLC-MSⁿanalysis. Methods ：The chromatographic conditions were as follows：Hedera ODS-2(250 mm×4.6 mm ID，5 μm) column；water(A) and acetonitrile(B)，gradient elute，ELSD detector，the ESI source was used and the data in negative and positive mode were acquired. Results ：The molecular ions in negative ion modes and product ions in positive ion were observed for molecule mass information and steroidal skeleton，and the structures were elucidated in comparison with the reference data and the standards.Fifteen steroidal saponins were identified. Conclusion ：The method is simple and rapid for the identification of the steroidal saponins from Anemarrhena asphodeloides Bge.
