Research advances in the biologically active scalarane sesterterpenoid marine natural products

The majority of scalarane sesterterpenoid marine natural products exhibit good biological activities against cancers and tuberculosis.As a consequence，more and more researchers have paid great attention to their synthesis and have made some progress.In this review，the research background，the biological activities and synthesis，as well as the prospect of scalarane sesterterpenoids are presented.
