Purification of Elastase by Affinity Chromatography
This paper describes a simple and specific method for isolating and purifying Elastase from the porine pancreas.The Crude Elastase purified preliminarily through ion-exchange resin, Amberlite CG-50, undergoes the affinity chromatography with mixed bed of cellulose and elastin. An one step purification is enough to obtain the porcineElastase with a single band on polyacrylamide disc gel electrophoresis.
