EFFECT OF TEMPERATURE ON FLUOROMETRIC ASSAY OF 5-HYDROXYLTRYPTAMINE AND 5-HYDROXYLINDOLE ACETIC ACID

  • The optimal temperature for developing fluorometric readings in estimating 5—hydroxyltryptamine (5-HT) and 5—hydroxylindole acetic acid (5—HIAA) is found to be 80℃. The sensitivity of the assay is sharply declined when temperature is raised up to 100℃ particularly in estimating 5—HIAA.
