Rhetsinine has been isolated from the fruits of Evodia rutaecarpa(Juss.) Benth. ¹H NMR and ¹³C NMR assignments reported previously for rhetsinine were revised on the basis of UV，IR，ESI-MS，¹H NMR，¹³C NMR and X-ray crystallographic analysis.
