Abstract
The ordered mesoporous silica spheres(OMSs) were synthesized under low acidic conditions using tri-block copolymer EO20PO70EO20(P123) as the template, tetraethyl orthosilicate as silica source, sodium dodecyl sulfate(SDS) as cosurfactant and ethanol as co-solvent.The characteristics of OMSs was investigated. Results showed that the OMSs had high surface area (700 m2/g),ordered pore structure, narrow pore-size distribution,mono-disperse spherical morphology, and strong adsorption capacity for oxymatrine. The column with OMSs showed low pressure at high flow rate and could be used to separate the mixture of benzene and nitrobenzene.OMSs has a bright future as the chromatographic packing material.
