  • The adsorption characteristics of β-CD and its 2, 6-dimethyl derivative as mobile phase additives were examined by HPLC chromato graphic methods associated with a polarimetric method for quantification. Results showed that the β-CD does not adsorbe onto the ODS stationary phase but its 2, 6-dimethyl derivative produces a typical Langmuir′s isotherms of a monolayer adsorption.
