Improvement of Catechin on Learning and Memory Impairment Induced by Aluminum in Mice

  • 摘要: 目的:从中药苞蔷薇根中提取的化学成分硕苞蔷薇(+)-儿茶素((+)-catechin,CAT),通过铝超载模型来研究CAT对铝中毒小鼠学习记忆能力的影响。方法:在小鼠的饮水和饲料中添加铝来造成小鼠体内铝超载,给药组在造模的同时给予CAT或去铁胺(desferrioxamine methane sulphonate,DFO),4周后,观察各组小鼠的学习记忆能力。并取血、脑和肾来测定血清和组织匀浆中SOD、MDA、MAO-B变化的水平。结果:CAT能非常显著地改善铝超载小鼠的记忆能力;非常显著地提高血清、脑和肾组织匀浆中的SOD水平,降低血清、脑和肾组织匀浆中的MDA的生成,降低脑中的MOA-B的水平。结论:CAT能改善铝超载所致的小鼠学习记忆障碍,并且具有很强的抗氧化能力。
